To become a driving instructor, you must qualify as an Approved Driving Instructor
(ADI) with the Driving Standards Agency (DSA)
- Arrange an assessment drive/ interview with myself to check your suitability (see
prices)
- You will then need to have a CRB check. Call them on 0115 901 2801 to obtain the
forms
- Order a starter pack from the DSA. Call them on 0870 121 4202. The cost for this
starter pack is £5 and contains an explanatory booklet containing full details of
the ADI register, and the qualification process of an ADI, an Official Register
of Driving Instructor Training (ORDIT), the ADI question bank, and the ADI registration
form.
- Send a cheque / postal order made payable to "Driving Standards Agency"

A book giving the multiple choice questions and answers, as well as information
to help you to understand the answers is also available. The theory test question
books are available at £6.00 each
